Belize City Council Announces Closure and Traffic Notices for Stephanie Lindo’s Funeral

In honor of the late City Administrator Stephanie Lindo, the Belize City Council has declared that all of its offices will remain closed throughout Monday, as her funeral takes place.

However, the Michael Finnegan Market will continue to operate as usual.

The closure aims to allow staff members to attend the funeral, which will be held at the Holy Redeemer Cathedral on North Front Street.

Additionally, on Monday, to facilitate the funeral procession, North Front Street will be closed from its intersection with Pickstock Street, while Hyde’s Lane will be closed between New Road and North Front Street. These closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. until noon.

During this time, access to Hyde’s Lane will be restricted to those attending the Holy Redeemer Credit Union (HRCU).

Enforcement officers will be on hand to assist with traffic management, ensuring smooth flow throughout the area.

The City Hall extends its apologies for any inconvenience caused by these closures and adjustments.

Stephanie Lindo’s contributions to the Belize City Council and the community at large will be remembered with gratitude and respect. This closure and traffic arrangement serve as a testament to the impact she had on those around her.

We join the Belize City Council and the community in mourning the loss of Stephanie Lindo, a dedicated public servant and leader.
