The Visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to Egypt

The Bahraini Ambassador in Cairo, Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, stated on Friday that the visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to Egypt and his meeting with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi aimed to enhance the strategic integration between the two countries in various fields. This visit also signifies the fruitful cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt in all areas, particularly in political, economic, and commercial aspects. It further strengthens joint security and military coordination, as well as counter-terrorism efforts, for the benefit of both nations.

Strengthening Unified Arab Visions

Ambassador Zainal emphasized that the visit also aimed to exchange views in order to strengthen unified Arab visions in addressing regional challenges for the benefit of the region and the world. She praised the valuable outcomes of King Hamad’s visit and his discussions with President Sisi, highlighting their support for efforts to achieve security and stability in the Arab region.

Historic Relations and Shared Convictions

Zainal highlighted the long-standing relations between Bahrain and Egypt, characterized by harmony, solidarity, and official and popular proximity. She reiterated that both countries share the same views and firm convictions regarding the need to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and contain the escalation resulting from the conflict, while protecting the region from its expansion risks.

The ambassador further emphasized that Bahrain and Egypt form a strong Arab depth to confront existing challenges in the region and strengthen the trajectory of joint Arab action. She also acknowledged the important position of Egypt as a crucial strategic reserve for the security of the Arab Gulf and its constructive initiatives in leading peace efforts in the Middle East. Additionally, she expressed Bahrain’s steadfast support for Egypt’s security and progress.
