Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha District President Expelled for Criticizing Prime Minister Modi

The Bikaner BJP Minority Morcha District President, Usman Ghani, has been expelled from the party for expressing his displeasure with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks in Rajasthan. Ghani, in a recent interview with a news channel in New Delhi, stated that the BJP was likely to lose three to four Lok Sabha seats out of the 25 seats in Rajasthan. He also condemned Modi’s remarks regarding Muslims during election rallies in the state.

Ghani’s Disappointment with Modi’s Remarks

When asked about Modi’s remarks regarding Muslims, Ghani, who is a Muslim himself, expressed his disappointment with the Prime Minister’s statements. He mentioned that when he goes to Muslims to seek votes for the BJP, they often bring up the kind of remarks made by the PM and look for answers from him. Ghani also highlighted that the Jat community in the state is angry with the BJP and has voted against the party in Churu and other constituencies.

Ghani’s Expulsion from the Party

After a video of Ghani’s interview surfaced on social media, the BJP State Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Onkar Singh Lakhawat, stated that Ghani had attempted to tarnish the party’s image in the media. As a result, the party took action and expelled Ghani from the primary membership of the party for six years, considering it a breach of discipline.

Bikaner Lok Sabha seat went to polls in the first phase on April 19. During a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, PM Modi suggested that if the Congress comes to power, it would redistribute wealth to Muslims. He alleged that the Congress plans to give the people’s hard-earned money and valuables to the “infiltrators” and “those who have more children.” These remarks have triggered a backlash from several opposition parties.

It is important for political parties to maintain discipline and unity within their ranks, especially during elections. Expelling a party member for expressing dissenting views can send a strong message to others within the party. However, it is also crucial for leaders to be open to constructive criticism and address the concerns of their party members to maintain a healthy and inclusive political environment.
