Arvind Kejriwal Holds Second Roadshow in Delhi, Sharpens Attack Against BJP

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, after being released from jail, held his second roadshow in New Delhi on Sunday, where he intensified his criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking to the residents of the national capital, Kejriwal stated that he believes God has brought him out of jail to defeat the BJP.

Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court to campaign in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, the court imposed strict conditions, requiring him to surrender to Tihar Jail authorities on June 2. In support of the Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, Somnath Bharti, Kejriwal conducted the roadshow in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar, accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Kejriwal’s Determination to Stay Out of Jail

During the roadshow, amidst chants of support from AAP workers, Kejriwal reassured his supporters that he would not return to jail after 20 days. He urged them to press the ‘jhaadu’ (broom) button, the party’s symbol, as much as possible to ensure his continued freedom.

“These people are saying I will have to go back to jail after 20 days,” Kejriwal addressed the crowd, who responded with chants of ‘nahi jayenge, nahi jayenge’ (won’t go, won’t go). “If you press the ‘jhaadu’ button the most, I will not have to go back to jail. You have the power,” he added.

Kejriwal’s Fight for the People of Delhi

Addressing his supporters in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal emphasized that he was sent to jail because he worked for the people of Delhi. He took a sharp dig at the BJP, accusing them of trying to hinder the progress made for the people of Delhi.

Kejriwal’s roadshow aimed to garner support for the Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate, Somnath Bharti, and to rally the residents of Delhi against the BJP. The party’s message was clear: they believe that the work done by Kejriwal’s government should continue, and they will fight to ensure that the BJP does not impede their progress.

As the Lok Sabha elections approach, the political landscape in Delhi becomes increasingly charged. Kejriwal’s roadshows serve as a platform for him to connect with the people, share his vision, and rally support for his party. The AAP’s focus on the welfare of the citizens of Delhi resonates with many, and Kejriwal’s determination to stay out of jail further fuels the enthusiasm of his supporters.

While the roadshow in Moti Nagar was a significant event, it is just one of the many steps that Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party will take in the coming weeks to secure victory in the Lok Sabha elections. The battle between the AAP and the BJP in Delhi is expected to be fierce, with both parties vying for the support of the electorate.

As the campaign intensifies, it is clear that Kejriwal’s fight is not just against the BJP but also for the people of Delhi. He believes that his work in the past has made a positive impact on the lives of the citizens, and he is determined to continue this progress. The roadshow serves as a reminder to the people of Delhi of the achievements of the AAP government and the need to protect and build upon them.

As the roadshow concluded, Kejriwal left the crowd with a resounding message: “We have the power to shape our future. Let us come together and ensure that the work for the people of Delhi continues. Together, we can overcome any obstacles and build a better Delhi for all.”
