US Stands Firm on Criticism of Indian Opposition Leader’s Arrest
Amid escalating tensions between Washington and New Delhi, the United States remains steadfast in its stance regarding the arrest of prominent Indian opposition leader Arvind Kejriwal. In a recent press briefing, Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller reiterated the Biden administration’s concerns over the legal trial of Kejriwal, emphasizing the importance of a fair and transparent judicial process.
The arrest of Kejriwal, who serves as the Chief Minister of Delhi and is a vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has sparked controversy ahead of India’s upcoming national elections.
